Oh absolutely! After the civil war the cattle hearing industry took off because they were in high demand up north and super cheap and abundant in the south. That and nomadic tribes of Indians in the Great Plains obtained the horse, allowing them to hunt bison much more effectively (even wastefully). However white man hunted much more of them and with even less care. They would kill dozens and skin them for their hide and leave their bodies to rot in the fields. They are no longer endangered, but are certainly not fully recovered.
There used to be tens up to a hundred million of them all across the country... Now there's about half a million with only 30ish thousand living in the wild

Damn, well good to know that they're back in almost full force, because they're pretty much my favourite bovidae, along with the goat and four-horned sheeps. >w<

Well, if you actually get on her good side then she certainly does~! If not... Well, let's jsut hope you don't have anything that she wants, or she'll take it. Honor-guided bandit, is pretty much what she is. Can tell you more later on if you're interested~ ^w^
