Thank you for your appreciation of this cute little guy, even though pelts and such are not really your thing :)
He looks so whole and complete, because he was skinned for the purpose of taxidermy or display. You can also rest assured that he would have been snake food otherwise, and wasn't killed for the purpose of taxidermy :)
