hmm... it might be some kind of corn snake they come in all kinds of colors and patterns.. though im no snake expert so i wouldn't know. you might want to try looking up corn and gartner snakes in your area and if you cant find it look for what other snakes live in your area.

I am glad you released it. Now it can do it's job in the wild. Plus If you want a pet snake buy one don't remove from wild populations.
