A rather meek gecko since birth, everything for Mallar Yong had been a struggle since he turned 16. Around that time the skinny lizard started to fill out. Seemingly without the aid of physical exertion or outside influences the gecko turned from a venerable twig to a ripped Adonis. By the time his 17th birthday rolled around his weight had increased significantly due to the pounds upon pounds of dense, ripped muscle that took over his body. Even thought he became a muscle hulk, he did not "balloon out" as many other did--compact, yet powerful. Despite this, he was ashamed of his gift to the point he was constantly wearing over sized sweatshirts and pants to hide it from people as a means of protection from unwanted attention, or insults

It wasn't until Mal met Magnus and Ian that the gecko finally began to blossom out of the shy, self sheltered life he was leading and into a more confident individual who was proud of his body. Able to put it to use, the gecko has taken the bodybuilding and powerlifting worlds by storm. Tying or just barely missing Magnus' own records for the youngest AnthrOlympia (1 month difference between Mag and himself), and youngest World's Strongest Man (Just shy of 3 days difference). It's been rumored that Mallar has even duplicated Mag's greatest feat, the 747 Big Lift, in private under the watch of his mentor and friend. But none of them will confirm the rumor, and no evidence supporting it has ever been produced.

Mal has been seen with his friend and training partner Ian on multiple occasions. But rumors of the two being an "Item" are unsubstantiated at best (the same rumors could be said about Magnus and Ian as well, those however were put to rest after Magnus was seen dating a female chef in recent years)

Mal has a bright future ahead of him in the world of competitive bodybuilding and powerlifting. Poised to take over the mantle of "World's Strongest Lizard" from his mentor, Magnus Legrand, the future seems to be as limitless as his strength for the young gecko.
