Nice to see Dire make his appearance. You did a really great job with the shading and highlights on this page! I especially like the sharp black-red-yellow-white on the fire, and how Dire's mask(?) gives the impression of real gold. Great job! =D

Elder Chala was introduced waaay back in Part 1 Page 3 as the wise leader of the chimps of planet Zoma.

Then on this page we learn Chala works for the United Anthro Worlds, the same organization/government that formed the CyberSquads,such as the one Cryo is a member of.

Chala was an Anthrorian Observer. The Observers are basically undercover babysitters placed on underdeveloped worlds to help guide and protect that world's Anthro population.

Observers try to slowly advance the social and technological levels of their assigned planet to the point that the population can finally join the greater-galactic community.

Chala had his work cut out for him as the anthro population of Zoma was still very much Stone Age.
