Ok everyone I made a Strawberry and Kumquat Sorbet. This is my own recipe and I want to share my creations with everyone. So please enjoy!
**Will scrap in a few**
Tools you need:
***A strong blender to completely whip up the ice, and fruits.
***Ice Cream maker - **If you don't have one of these read below**
***Frosting spreader, one of those cake things you know the silicone things. LOL
***1-2 leter container for the liquids
***Container that can hold 5-10 cups of product. A simple round container like a Ice cream bin is good if you have one **I didn't**
Ingredients and directions:
-1 Cup of Strawberries
-1 Cup of Kumquats (Supplements the need for any citrus, or lemon.)
-1 Cup of water
-1/2 Cup of Sugar (whatever you prefer Splenda is ok)
-2 1/2 TSP of agave, or any sweeter.
**Blend on Smoothy to ground everything up into a nice liquid.
**Set for 12-16 hours.
**Re blend! Or mix well, the strawberries and the kumquats will separate! You need the ingredients to be very chilled. Your fridge will do.
-1/2 cup of heavy whipping cream or vanilla yogurt **I used Heavy whipping cream.**
**Pour contents into your ice cream maker then add your 1/2 cup of heavy whipping cream into it while its mixing, adding at beginning for best results.
-Add 5 tbsp of crushed chocolate chips **DO NOT BLEND WITH FRUITS**
**Elapse 30 min of mixing in your machine. You will notice it is at soft serve consistency, it is not done. Place in freezer for 2 hours! After this take out, mix and serve.
***If you don't have an ice cream maker Like I do there is another method to this madness. Using shaved ice (blended ice) simply add this, your cream or yogurt and chocolate chips and whisk for 5-10 min. (If the consistency is grainy stop and freeze) Freeze your product for 2 1/2 to 3 hours, using a fork fold your sorbet into itself after its frozen and serve.***
