Personality Description:

General Description: Calder’s main personality trait is impulsive. He does what he wants, when he wants to, with no real ties to anyone. He feels no guilt when he eats, because he knows they will reform, and typically enjoys stalking the loved ones of the one he ate and watching them search until he can reform them and watch the reunion. In this way he is cold and selfish, deriving his emotions from those he watches from afar.

He is rarely faced with having to interact socially with anything. When he does, he is friendly, but dismissive, not wishing to gain attachment, since he believes they will eventually leave him.

If faced with the loved one of someone he has ate, but has yet to reform he will panic and run away,. He will make sure it's not too far that he can’t find them again, though, since he needs to return the loved one. If he can’t run, he will talk with them cautiously and awkwardly, trying to hide his guilt.

Relationships: Calder has never been in a relationship before that he remembers. In fact, he has never even seen another of his kind. However, he did find a nice attractive female, he would most likely stalk her, push his company on her, and if she continued to push her away, shower her with any gift he could find -- mainly exotic coral and plants from the ocean. If she continued to reject him, he would just continue leaving her gifts unless he saw her with another male Zorgoia (romantically) and then would leave, heartbroken, and avoid her whenever he saw her after that.

If she accepted him, he would be loyal and obsessive, though rarely possessive, and often jealous of other males, but in a passive-aggressive way. He would also be awkward, mostly showering her in gifts and following her around. Obedient to her every whim.

Background Description: Calder doesn’t remember his childhood. His first memory is that of waking up in the ocean hungry. The first thing he ate was a mother dolphin. Once he saw the child, lost and alone, he regretted it, and began to take care of it. But still, it missed its mother. A few hours later, the guilt and sorrow he felt at eating the mother lead him to perform reformation instinctually. Upon being reformed, the mother dolphin took the baby dolphin far away from Calder, as fast as she could.

Calder has yet to encounter another Zorgoia since awakening, and believes himself to be alone in his own kind (though this is not true).

History of Character’s Name: When he first approached the baby dolphin, he could give it no name. So the baby dolphin took him to a wise old turtle who gave him the name Calder meaning “From The Wild Water” after the dolphin explained how they had met. It was one of the few times the dolphin seemed happy since losing its mother (because it revered the turtle), so he kept the name.

Living Conditions: Calder lives in a cave behind the waterfall of his favorite lake. He will often be away from it for days, however, traveling in the oceans and sleeping on his back like an otter, or snoozing on rocks by lakes and rivers. He lives by himself.

Hobbies: Swimming in the ocean. This, however, can leave his pelt quite salty, so he also loves to swim upstream in freshwater rivers, and then sunbathe afterward. He also enjoys stalking creatures. Both to eat them and to simply watch them.

His favorite hobby is to stalk a creature, eat it, and then watch it’s loved ones search for it. The reunion after reformation is his favorite part.
