Very rarely I will see tatoos I like because more often then not the body it is on looks like some wall of poor graffiti rather than art which defaces both the body of the person it’s on and the artwork of the tattoo artist. This is especially true for bodybuilders whose bodies are intended to be works of art, then they go screw it up by making it difficult to nigh impossible to figure out what is going on with their body.

Well, it depends. A well chose tattoo can still be nice. Using a fully body tattoo as an example is kind of unfair of you. But i agree, too many people with good body shapes cover them up with too complicated ones, making it hard to tell the details. You dont put a bumper sticker on a Ferrari.
Eh, they don't mind me really as long as the quality itself shows up. I mean, imagine a car with a wide body kit on it and loads of decals to it - it just makes it look all the more interesting, given that the decals are high-quality rather than something you spray paint quickly in five minutes.
Art-wise, it can be a massive mess to hassle with, unless you are more than willing to take the time (and several tricks you can do in Photoshop) to get them all placed into their correct places. Though ultimately, if you pay more attention to muscular details, then a simple tattoo or two would do better.

A small tattoo here or there is fine, as long as its not something stupid like 'THUG LIFE" or "Rip in Peace".
What boggles my mind are the ones doing body scarring or branding themselves. my cousin has a huge brand of a muffin on her calf, it just looks... bad.
I'm all for personal choice but tattoos can at least be removed, scarring is for life.

I don't mind tattoos if it's more on the, small size & doesn't present anything stupid or offensive or something common like a picture of a Music note, butterfly, any word in foreign language like in Japanese or even something like a person's face onto it.
I can't describe how many tattoos I see of those Tribal marks, I think they're cool but after seeing how everyone has one, it ruined it for me >.>
Although I seen people make certain tattoos that sound bad in idea but make it work well, but that's really rare...
In other words, I'm fine with tattoos, as longs as it's small & few, and they aren't silly/dumb and overused & everyone.

I get your point, sort of. A bodybuilder with a full body tattoo is completely unappealing for me. However, two or three tattoos here and there (if they involve dragons I'll love it! ;D) in total are much nicer...
I understand why you demand so much from RL bodybuilders to boot, as you love that sport the way I do.
