It's Monday, and Monday's suck, and I hate them, so to make people feel better, here's a sexy Skips. You're welcome.
Okay, but in all seriousness, I should have uploaded this over a year ago, because I've had it for so long. I actually got this pretty much the same time I got this one: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/14317618/ .
I know I say this a lot, but this is absolutely one of my all time favorite commissions I've gotten, and it's probably definitely my favorite depiction of Skips so far. All that is thanks to Tatchit, who is an absolutely amazing artist, and if I could, I would commission her more. She has an amazing style I just love, what with the realistic look and the details and the floaty sparkly bits. It's all just great. So if you haven't already, go favorite her art. Because it's great.
There's a number of things I love about this piece in particular. The realism and details have already been mentioned. All the fur just looks great. But I love the expression. I would have titled this "Serenity" if I hadn't already used that on a previous commission. I took the title of this picture from what Tatchit titled her upload, and it was better than anything else I could come up with. Plus, it's officially summer time as of a few days ago, so yeah, perfect title. But this picture looks like it's Skips at his most relaxed and serene. It's a feeling I wish I could feel more often. Maybe that's why I like this so much. It's a depiction of how I wish I could feel.
So if I love this piece so much, why did it take so long to upload? I don't know. Laziness, life, lack of inspiration I guess. As you can tell, there isn't some little story for this one. I couldn't really come up with something. Like, it's an amazing picture, but there's an abstract quality about it. The setting is nondescript. It's only Skips in a dark, yet brightly lit place. There's nothing save for the glowing particles that surround him. Maybe he's in the woods surrounded by fireflies, or wading through swamp, or immersed within his own dreamscape looking for an escape from life. Who knows? Could be anything.
So yeah, a most amazing picture by a most amazing artist. Thank you so much, Tatchit. You did an awesome job with this. And thanks to whoever read through my text wall. You're awesome.

Hehe. Well, I appreciate the sentiment. I just have no experience with anyone expressing their thoughts of my character so....what's a good word....exuberantly. So, it just caught me off guard. But thank you, I'm glad you like the art I get. I do try my best to get good art, and it's nice seeing it appreciated by others.
