I was about to honestly ask how your shelf produced fungi like that, but then I googled searched it and realized that those are called shelf mushrooms; soooo that's cool. Mushrooms are really appealing pieces of nature. They're almost ominous in a way, but still hold a lot of architectural beauty.
The wood looked so polished like a nice varnished shelf, haha. Good thing I learned this here other than another possible or more dangerously embarrassing event in the future where shelf-mushrooms make a second appearance in a hypothetical conversation surrounded by a lot of hypothetical fungi scholars over a hypothetical meal at a hypothetical restaurant. Can't ever be too careful.
