I agree, this was cute. If again pretty bizarre. The only thing I can really criticize (aside from the word "murr", can't stand that thing) is that there's no real tension in the story. Once we know the secret and learn he's ok with it, we're just spinning our wheels until the end, which isn't very exciting. An antagonist or problem would have made the story more engaging.

I have a love-hate relationship with 'murr.' When used as an exclamation ("oh murrrrrrr"), I rage. But I tend to use the term to represent a gentle feline humming purr, sort of like a sensual hum or 'mm.' Every once in a while, though, I go on an anti-murr streak and purge it from my works.
Now, yiff, that's a word I really can't justify the use of. So I don't use it.
