Finished Commission for
Kjorteo~!
I know I've taken awhile, but Kjorteo has been beyond paitent, and a wonderful commissioner! The characters were a real pleasure to draw, I kinda wish I had read his stories before I finished it, but they were really great for knowing these two more! Go see!
Oh! And Sara has hairless hands and feet slightly larger than normal. Part of her design! And fun to try and texture. ^^
9 by 11 bristol, mostly marker! I tried to do something else with the posters (cut out tiny ones, and paste them one) but... yeah. Didn't work out so well, so I opted to hand draw them in. Oddly enough it was the last thing I did, and the longest-taking. I still don't know why really. I'm in love with hw I drew their hands and faces, he gave me such excellent feedback that I wanted to try my best!

(ps - I totally know that the solar system poster is askew. I couldn't fix it :c)

Even I'm in before Fuzz, and that's just wrong because he linked me to it. And I don't even call him Fuzz.
What I think really makes the picture is not just the scene as a whole, necessarily, but the amount of tiny little details that you've put in. The heart clip on the power cable on the left, tiny bits of sellotape on the photos, stars stuck on the lampshade, what I think is a label on the pillow, and the stitch pattern on her jeans... it shows that you've given this real attention to detail. I love the husky-teddy as well, and just the setting that the entire picture shows - the kind of intimate, girl's-bedroom look, that's really brought to life by the special details that you've included.

I was wondering what Sellotape was, so I had to go look it up, and it turns out it's what Europeans get instead of Scotch tape, which is what I thought this was. As if your words weren't enough; now you're springing British products on me! Though I'll give you credit for having the variant whose brand name didn't originally come from an ethnic slur.
Come to think of it, I'm not meant to be using British terms this week, am I? But calling it Scotch tape would just be too strange for someone from there given its origin... I was actually unaware that 'Sellotape' was a brand name, as it's one of those words that's just evolved into what we call the actual product no matter who makes it. Like... Elastoplast. I could just be making all these up, you know.
I have Wikipedia to do my fact checking, and sometimes I don't just take your word for it or assume it must just be a British thing and move on when you're clearly making things up! Fortunately for you, Wikipedia has a list of genericized trademarks (which I find quite fascinating for some reason) that backs you up on those two, at least, so I'll let it slide this time.

Good heavens, this is amazing! I know it's been a while, but it was incredibly well worth the wait for something this good. Hell, you probably could have gotten away with taking even twice as long if I end up getting something like this in the end. It's...phenomenal, it really is. Thank you so much!

Of course, all of this is leaving out the obvious attraction of the main characters themselves, which is nothing short of phenomenal. I've said this before while we were exchanging notes over the WIP versions, but it's worth repeating in public now that the picture is out: those have to be the best rendition of Sara's hands I've ever seen. They're huge, but they're supposed to be, and they are absolutely perfect for how I envision the character. And I don't know what kind of sorcery you pulled with your super marker techniques, but I imagine them being kind of hard and rough and dry to the touch, too, and you pulled that off with stunning detail to the point where I can just look at this picture and get that impression, too--and this is the zoomed-out low-res version! (For everyone else who isn't either Gravewalker or myself: she sent me a cropped super high-res version of just from their heads down to about Teo's elbow and Sara's left hand, and OH MY GOD. I can't wait to get the original if it looks like that. But anyway....) The expressions are absolutely adorable, her hair is perfect, and...just...everything. Seriously. You rock so very very hard.
Damn it, I just had that much to gush about and it was hard to keep track of it all and easy for something to get lost in the sea of everything else, I knew I was forgetting something.

Goodness. Praise and a plug for my stories on top of everything else? You really are too kind! I'm certainly glad that you seem to have enjoyed them. Thank you so much! :D

The affectionate interaction between them was excellently portrayed through their body language and I felt you did a great job on the linework for their forms as well. The stitching, creases and coloring of their jeans was another aspect that came out magnificently as well as the pillows with the folds and the detail of the design for the pink one there. There was also a nice addition of items to liven up the room and form a great backdrop for the characters within it. Awesome work on this Sunny.
Also, the “radio” seems suspiciously like a cameo of some sort if I didn’t know better. :P
