Was looking at JAW Cooper’s awesome pencils and said, on Twitter, “I wanna draw something awesome. Not sure what. Probably in Col-Erase Carmine Red pencils because I think they are cool.“ My friend suggested “Basilosaurus ogre mermaid,” and rather than going the action pose route I’d ordinarily do, I thought I’d go for stylized - sort of the primal fears of a sapient seal culture, something like that.

Basilosaurus (who is not a saurus even!) is awesome. Nice idea! This should totally be a real D&D race. Though she doesn't look that ogre/evil-like to me.
Did you know that Pathfinder made a new Agathion/Guardinal race called Cetaceal? Their heads are sadly human-like, but they are basically orca-taurs.

I know the name from that awsesome prehistoric artbook of Burian, you know about it? Has a great art of the Basilosaurus.
You ever check your shouts, btw? Left you some Pathfinder-related pics... and speaking of Guardinals, one Pathfinder adventure features an epic-looking Vulpinal gal.
