I would say that it's pretty obvious that shi has a skunktaur sire, so although shi came out as a chakat, shi has skunktaur attributes such as the paw mark and the fluffy tail. I have a similar character named Swiftwalk (see Kacey's pic at http://www.furaffinity.net/view/634118/ ).
