One of the awesome things about the Pokemon franchise is there are so many stories that could be told in the setting. I think all the time about the lives of the people we DON'T see. Not everyone goes out to be a Pokemon Master, after all, but we know Pokemon are a big part of their daily lives.

I and I think many others, would totally enjoy more like this. That is, regular people doing regular things, and they just so happen to be doing them with Pokemon. As you said yourself, there's some massive potential here.
