You were a good horse for the three years we had you. You're turning nineteen in a few months. Sadly that's not that old.

The vet came and saw you today. We didn't know you were hurting so bad. We saw you limp sometimes but we didn't know it was so bad. We don't want you to hurt anymore. We are sorry you suffered for so long and we are sorry we can't do anything to help you stay longer with us. I hope you're going to be relieved. You never deserved the abuse that lead you to this suffering. You never deserved any of this pain but I hope the few years you had to graze and roam freely was fun.

I'm sorry Rocky picked on you sometimes but he is going to miss his brother. We can't even get a new horse to replace you. That would be wrong. Rocky is really going to miss you but we will try to get him a friend.

I know you never liked me much but I really do wish you never had to go through the pain you went through. I wish we could have rescued you sooner. I wish you could have lived a long happy life with Rocky. I love you. Have fun prancing in the clouds Buddy, there you will be able to finally run again.
