An adventurer gets lost in the strange forest far away from town, he gets
hungry in search of the forest's exit as he comes across some plump
looking mushrooms. The mushrooms had some nice looking blue caps and
the base seemed as though it had the look and texture of marshmallows. He
decides to take a chance and eats some of the mushrooms to satisfy his
hunger.

It wasn't long until he began to feel strange, taking a break from walking
until the strange sensations passed, however they only seemed to be getting
worst as time went on. His skin looked quite pale, infact it seemed to become
white in color, his skin feeling soft and squishy, not unlike the mushrooms
he ate moments before.

He felt panic as some soft fluffy tufts began to grow along certain parts of
his body, the strands of fluff coated in spores, he was becoming a mushroom?
Not quite, his body was looking more like that of a monster's. His feet
had ripped out of his boots, now much bigger than before and tipped with
claws, a similar change happened to his hands as he had massive fat
hands that were tipped with claws. A thick tail shot out as it flops against
the floor, tipped with spore tufts. Finally a major changed had occurred,
he developed a blue cap of his own, his hair becoming coated in the
spores as well as he now had the appearance of a monster.

His new instincts were telling him that the forest was his home now, not
dangerous in any way since his diet now consisted of berries and various
mushrooms he could find, his spores are known to have a funny effect
on other creatures who come across him though.

This one isn't a commission but rather something I worked on for myself as
practice, the other commissions are on their way so don't worry. I just drew
this because of an idea I had in my head for a long time, and I needed to draw
more finished works to give people an impression of what I can do.

You're telling me mushroom isn't a species option? No way~
