My only critique is that it looks like you have too much noise going on in the render. I think you did a great job otherwise. I have only done one one figure in Maya and did not flush it out with textures, but next term I am taking a class on how to build a character... I don't know if we will rig it or not.

Yeah, I haven't tweaked Cycles's settings much yet, and there's a lot of AO and SSS going on there, so it takes a lot longer. This was an 8 minute render, if I bumped the samples up on either of those, the noise'd disappear.
