This right here is the reason why new artwork will be delayed a little longer.

Those who watch my gallery already know this old little fella and some of you know that he's got some heart problems. He's on meds and -usually- doing perfectly fine with them.

Benji is 13 years old and got a heart insufficiency, he is on medication for it for about a year by now and usually he is still as healthy and energetic that most people, even the substitute vet guess him to be around 5-8 years so he's obviously in rather good health.

Well, not today. He was doing perfectly fine when I went to work this morning and when I got home I could already hear him scream (He always does during a seizure) even before I got to the front door.
Apparently he's been throwing up all morning and an hour before I got him he started to have seizures about every 15 minutes. He's had it before and it was caused by a virus but this time the vet is quite sure it's the heat messing with his heart.

He's gotten fluids via IV and several meds to strengthen his heart. He is stable now but with the ongoing heatwave chances are he'll get worse again.
Keeping him cool with wet towels and my fan put to his direction. This and trying to keep him hydrated (which proves itself difficult as he doesn't accept anything not even light chicken broth) is the only thing I can do for now.
Hope this fucking summer won't last long because this heat is literally killing him.

It's supposed to stay at around 38-40°C for the next couple of days so it'll be critical for him even though I am trying anything to keep him cool. Because of this I will be spending my time taking care of him instead of working on drawings as I originally planned to this weekend. I am sorry but this dog means a hell lot more to me than anybody I owe art to. You'll get your stuff you just gotta wait a little longer.
