If you were born on or near a major holiday, you probably know how much it sucks.
I don't care about presents. I don't care about a cake or a big dinner. I just want to feel like my birthday matters more to the people I care about than a stupid fucking holiday. Fuck fireworks, fuck picnics and grilling hotdogs and anthems and parades. Fuck red-white-and-blue, fuck America for one goddamned day. I want nothing more than a normal birthday all my friends and family can gather on without having to associate it with a national holiday. But of course, that'll never happen for as long as I'm alive.

Well that's the thing, I can't spend the day with friends nor family other than my mom, brother, and grandmother because my friends all either work or spend time with their own families and my mom's side of the family here in Texas doesn't come for my birthday. That's part of the root of the whole issue, even if people want to be there for me on my birthday they have other more important obligations.
