K so I did this in one of my classes at college last year, but I ended up leaving it in the class so I have no idea where it is now. Probably still in the class or thrown away. I dunno. It was a last minute (did in.. I think 20 minutes?) Sketch picture of a concept for a more detailed picture which I never got around to doing.

There were two ideas behind this, but I love having people tell me their own interpretation.

One was a mother trying to reach out to her child, but all the forces around the child seem to be holding him/her down. She just can't help the child, and feels useless.

Another was, reaching for that inner child. The childhood I never experienced, due to all the problems that ruined it.

Some other possiblities?

Crib Death. A mother reaching for her child in hopes of saving him/her from such a fate.
