I recently got into the Animal Crossing franchise with New Leaf, and it is such a fantastic game. I really wish I had started playing the series sooner. So in honor of that, it's everyone's favorite secretary! Hoping to draw my townsfolk as well, should time permit.
or the turnaround, I made a couple minor changes to her outfit. One of them being that her skirt is now denim instead of…cotton? Hard to tell what material it’s made of in game. It was fun giving her outfit a little more detail like that. I also tried to make the style of her eyes more closely match how it appears in official renders or art. I think that lighter part in her eyes is supposed to be light catching it. Or it could be a symptom of something…more twisted. (Dun...dun...dun)
I had two goals when making these Isabelle pics. 1. To make her look absolutely adorable and cute. 2. To try using more vectors and different effects in my artwork. Normally I avoid those and prefer to paint everything out by hand. But then it hit me, it’s still using Photoshop. I’m still using a tool, but I’m now using more parts of it to speed up my workflow and hopefully push in a new direction.
