For those of you who were wondering what I'm working on, this is it.
Injection is an artbook I'm putting together featuring tons of original artwork, short sequences, and one long feature sequence. I'm somewhere between 40-50% done with putting together the art for it, but so far we've got dolphins, devilgirls, demons, butterflies, cows, foxes, skunks, and lots more.
I'll talk a little bit more about the release info and length as I get closer to completion and layout.

That is one of the things I'm not sure about. The printer/distributor I'm using makes it a bit cheaper if I can limit the book to 40 pages, so it's really a question of cost versus quantity, plus figuring out how much art I can finish up. If I include more sketches and concept stuff (right now it's all finished inks and full color), I can probably push it closer to sixty, but I'm unsure whether people will want to throw down a couple more bucks for ~20 more pages.
There was a TF artist who will remain nameless who would charge twice as much for her seasonal books, and they included half the art your proposing. I think you could easily justify pushing up to 20. What made me mad about this other artsiest is a few months after she published said books (and sometimes even sooner then that) she would post the art work free of charge on a variety of websites. That cheapened the product, and made me question why I spent money for something I could very easily have gotten for free. Your work is defiantly worth more then 15, as your first outing I definitely think this is a case of "build it and they will come."
You aren't naming names, but I have a hunch I know who you're talking about. I've never seen one of her books so I can't speak to print quality, which is one of the big question marks for my book; I'll have a better idea of how to price it once I get a proof of the final product. I was planning on reposting a few preview images from the book online (the cowgirl I just posted is one of them, but the final version will be full color, not monotone) but I have absolutely no intention of reposting the whole thing, especially when I'm also considering putting together a lower price digital version as a .pdf for the guys and girls who for whatever reason aren't comfortable springing for a tangible copy of a TF artbook.
One of the reasons I am floating it around 15 is that I feel like that is the price of a professional trade paperback, and those are longer and (usually) more polished. I'm not looking to make a huge profit here, mostly just giving myself an excuse to try some new things and get a nice collection out there in tangible form for people who would appreciate it to pick up.
At any rate, this is all kind of irrelevant at this point because I am not solid on the length; once I get the art finished then I have to start thinking more seriously about the price.
