"Hmmm... So if I channel through the Cordian Method instead of the Traditional Yu-Attar Method, I can more easily control the intensity of lower-level lightning spells... But switching to the Revised Yu-Attar Method gives better fidelity than either, as long as the magic is based on Attar's theories! Ah, okay! This is making sense now! It's a lot to memorize, sure, but the results more than speak for themselves!"

tierafoxglove's adorable style works very well with nagas/lamias (depending on your definitions for the terms), so it made sense to let her try her pencils at Auroury. The cute snakeysnake came out fantastic, all slithery and snazzy in her dress and feathers!
Although Auroury is as smart as a whip (and can whip her tail quite well, too), she didn't get smart by just lounging around. Her appetite for reading is bottomlessly voracious, and she's been known to worm her way through an entire library in the course of a few weeks! Her favorite section- when she can find a library that has one, anyway- is always the Magical Theory and Practise divisions (you know, E20 through EF0 in the Expanded Dewey Decimal System). It's always fascinating to find new journals and treatises on the systems of magic, and it's even more fun to apply them to your own spellcasting!

Well, I mean, she is using the Cordian method- if it were any sort of major spellcasting I could see your point, but she should be fine for now! She's really quite gifted, though. Lightning magic is her greatest specialty, and she's an avid reader of spellbooks of every sort!
And, Auroury's got way more tail than she lets on, as well! It IS all prehensile... She's just not sure how!
