If the fires are accidental it sucks... but to be honest it gives a cool atmosphere

they are and a lot of people are being evacuated, we have an extra 2500 people in my town and all the schools are full, so no one is taking anymore people and they now need to go to saskatoon, lots of homes are being taken out by this thing, i hope it doesnt spread to where i am, but know it also would have to jump the river

Yeah, no. The fact the temperatures during summer for the past decade or so have been high enough to spontaneously ignite large patches of terrain, is anything but "so cool".

And I honestly doubt you'd want to be in an area where it's hot as balls by default, and then the temperature is further elevated by the fires themselves, AND judging by the amount of smoke in that photo, you might even need a mask to breathe properly.

Also even if you have no interest in being either, its still an art form where artists might rely on photo reference to make a movie, painting, or illustration with a realistic and presentable atmosphere. You don't really have a stance here other than thinking your hunting some sort of monster who admits a photo of a terrible tragedy can be atmospheric and even tragically beautiful. If I wanted to draw a scene where a city is under siege and on fire, right after a nuke, chemical warfare, and etc. id know what the background should basically look like because Id have that photo for reference. Sure the thing behind it is tragic but art does not give two shits about that. I shouldn't have to feel guilty for admitting its a nice reference and still offering console.

I remember when it was like this in Boulder, Colorado a few years back when we had fires burn all the way down into the foothills, swimming pools filled up with ash and stuff and the smoke would give the sky this strange orange hue that was really unnerving.

IT's super creepy, isn't it? That's how I felt when it was like that. Just like. It almost feels like the world is ending. The air hurts to breath and all the sound is muffled and it's literally like RAINING ash.
