Chinook had always been known as an adrenaline junkie, craving excitement, danger, and suspense. It was that love of adventure that drew her to thievery in the first place. She loved the thrill of sneaking through unfamiliar territory, evading detection and finally securing her prize right from under its owner's nose, knowing that she could be discovered at any moment.
But getting caught was even better. Everything changed from slow, deliberate tension to frantic, pulse-pounding energy. Hunter and hunted. There was just something about an all-out pursuit that filled her with a sense of giddy euphoria.
So here she was. Caught red-handed. Handcuffed. Frisked. Luckily, an opportunity had presented itself for her to break free of the officer's grip and take off like a shot. She was sprinting hard, her bare feet pounding against the asphalt, heart thudding in her chest, breaths coming in rapid gasps. She could hear the siren wailing behind her, saw the headlights and light bar illuminating the road ahead. Chinook looked back over her shoulder with a wild grin. All she had to do was cut across a nearby yard and into the maze of alleys and gaps between houses. She could easily escape once her pursuer was on foot.
But then again, she didn't want to lose him TOO quickly. After all... the cop that was after her was one heck of a cutie!
