So, I decided I wanted to try and experiment with drawing an anthros. This is my very first attempt ever. It's not good, I know. I need lots of improvment but I am willing to practice because I want to learn. I can never draw humans, I know this lol, but if I can do anthromorphic then I am happy!
About the pic. This...is supposed to be a female. I know, it didn't turn out very well ^^;. I was having issues with making the chest look more like she had at least a little bit of cleavage XD! And her kimono-type shirt is a little off to the side when it shouldn't be lol. Ah well.
Her name is Nasira. She is a character in a story I am creating except she isn't a dragon LOL. She's human but again, I can't do humans. The story is a fan fic...that I will not be posting here on DA because I don't want people freakign out and saying I am another typical Mary Sue writer. If you're interested you can ask, but otherwise, no. I will describe tho, what she is. Nasira is an Assassin. This is only half of her uniform lol. She has an upper robe with a hood. Her entire robes, including the trousers are black. The sash around her waist is a bright sky blue. this happens to be a symbol of her rank. Overtop of the sash is actually her swordbelt lol.
Also, I forgot to mention that the bird kinda in the background is actually the symbol of the faction she is in. SHe has a tattoo of this on her left shoulder. It is a Raven disappearing into the shadows...at least that's what it's supposed to look like XD!
Will be finishing this soon but I REALLY need to finish my freaking Xchanges >.<! I'm very lucky there was a slight extension and I WILL finish them! So, feel free to give any critique! I am more than happy to hear anything!

The main issue, which you probably knew already, is that the head and the neck are far too large for the body. In fact, the neck is actually thicker than the waist. With anthros, the neck is what you really have to be careful with, and while you have done the curve of it beautifully, watch those proportions.
As for drawing a female, try outlining the rib cage first and then add breasts. I found that helped, but that's just me. ^_^
Aside from the proportion, the picture is beautifully drawn and will no doubt look great in colour! ^_^

I did and didn't know with the head being slightly too big...the neck however I thought was too long LOL! However, I see what you mean with that and it makes total sense. Thank you very much, this has and will help immensely and I can work to improve. So thank you, I appreciate the help very mcuh ^-^!
