altho...when I did it...I left a lot implied, then used flashbacks to tease out peices of terrifying information one scene at a time every few chapters...it was halfway thru the story before the entire backstory and the scary parts were filled in

sometimes the best horror ever comes from letting people fill in the blanks...just set the scene, make it clear that whats about to happen will be horrible...then hit at the conseequences...and peoples minds fill in the blanks in ways u could never do justice to with mere words
