Aerostat captains such as Miss Millie Barr prefer to fly by night, as one it's much more comfortable than dealing with the oppressive heat of the day, and two, with a good moon out, it's much more difficult for pirate zeppelins to prey upon merchants such as Millie, because as we can see even when dusted with a light coating of desert dust, the moon still makes the balloon glow somewhat, and that goes for rigid zeppelins as well as blimps, so all in all, night flights are the way to go.

Plus they look much more awesome! That moon and those stars!
