WHEW...... OKAY.....!! SO, this picture took me ALL DAY LONG to do. From sketch, to paint to the background! x.x I meant for this to be just a really quick practice doodle to see if I could get the hang of drawing a pony in my own style and actually LIKE it. -- I ended up going with my OC Coral Phin...and welp, I obviously liked it.
After staring at it and being rather proud of it I was inspired to then color it. However, I didn't want to just color it in any old way. I decided to PUSH myself. I've seen a lot of REALLY beautiful amazing pony artwork around DA. I've LOVED THEM ALL and have looked up to each and every one of them. So to have finally drawn a sketch that I deemed worthy enough to paint-color I friggin' went for it to live out my dream.

Once painted I decided to push myself a little further and try to go with some shading that was outside of my comfort zone. (Also known as grabbing purples and reds instead of the same shade but darker.) -- Theeeen the pushing myself for more practice went even FURTHER..... and I sorta kinda painted a BG for it. Yeah...

Was this some kinda lucky fluke?! PLEASE LORD NO... XD I WANNA DO MORE PONIES LIKE THIIIIS....!! (Even if admittedly, I'm still not good at the full bodies.)
