It takes anywhere between 3-8 hours to make. The more detail in the 3D that I get, the longer that it takes. I use anywhere between 7-15 of the same card and cut out specific sections with an x-acto knife by hand. Once I am happy with the parts that I have cut out, I attach each layer using scrap booking squares. I avoid using glues or cements so the card does not warp. The squares work just as well as glue.
I have now started doing something new with my cards. There is now a clear screen over my new cards making them even more like shadow boxes!
