Guns can be a real pain to draw, and they're one of the things I draw most commonly. A big factor is the angle you attempt to draw them from, and how easily you can access references. Standard side view like you'd see on the wall of a gun shop isn't bad, but once you introduce any kind of angle things get way more complicated.
Related Tip: Avoid drawing the lever on a lever action in the down position if at all possible, it is rediculously hard to draw for as simple an object as it is, particularly from perspective. Attempting to do so without a perfect reference (pretty much meaning you have a gun in front of you to look at) will result in nothing but suffering and erasing, unless you get really lucky.
