Its been a long day without you
A tribute for
foxholliday
Sammy has been a part of my life for a long time. We never talked much and I think our first interaction was in 2011. I met her officially for the first time at FWA2012, when I met up with her in the Artist Alley and commissioned her for two badges. We didn't talk much again after that until FWA2014
Her, yukikitty and I all carpooled to FWA that year. It was one of the most memorable roadtrips I've had. We jammed to Pokemon and music from the 2000's. We saw a Gentlemens club inconspicuously named "Cheaters".
And of course, a wonderful establishment selling "Sausage and Sausage Accessories"...
After that, she was pretty much a part of my daily life. We talked on Skype, and Twitter a lot, and while I was still in Florida we would talk about getting together some day for sleepover.
At megaplex last year, she came to birthday party, the only one there that came for me.. (I love you for coming Keet, but you're definitely better friends with my wife than with me!). She gave me a sketchbook as a gift, which I'll be using solely for drawing giftart in.
Once Inuyasha came out on Hulu we discovered each others love for it and would talk about it often. I regret not finishing the series sooner. I would have loved to talk about it with her more, especially since I had never seen the final act before.
Theres so many things I wish i could have done before she left us. I wish we had talked more, I wish I could have seen her again. She was one of, if not the kindest person I knew. It was impossible to be down around her, she was so friendly.
Sammy, you are nothing short of amazing. My life will be harder without you, but I will continue to live each day as happily as I can, and I will be kind and make others smile as best I can, but I know I'll never quite be as good at it as you were.
I love you Sammy.
