Okay, let's keep the ball rolling with posting the icons. Except instead of a paw icon this time, it's a headshot! See? Told you I was done with posting the paw pictures for now.
This icon was made by oCe, who was making stormy / rainy icons back in the spring, and I managed to snag a slot on her last batch of stormy icons. I recently got this last week, and some may be able to tell that this icon has recently deposed the long reigning paw icon that's been my avatar here since last summer. I do have a couple other icons that need posting that I received long before this one, but I'm gonna wait on those. I'm posting this one now because of the recent icon change, so I figured y'all would like to see a larger version of the image.
Now, I don't have the animated version in anything larger than the what you currently see as my avatar, but I do have large version of different parts of the animation. I figured I'd upload the best part, which is the one with the lightning strike! Why is this the best part? Well you see, I love thunderstorms. I love the sound of rain as it falls. I love watching the lighting strike and see how it lights up the world for a brief half second.
Skips, being pretty much me in all ways (except he's a cheetah, and I'm not, that lucky bastard), loves thunderstorms and lightning and enjoying the show they put on. And so, this part of the animation perfectly captures the love and wonder Skips is feeling as he stands beneath the falling water. A cat who loves water falling on him and crashing lightning? Go figure, Skips is an odd cat for sure.
Anyways, super awesome big thanks to oCe for making this fantastic icon (and the first one I got that ever animated!).
