After ten attempts at writing this comment I think I am ready to just blabber on about how much I ADORE THIS. I was too busy scrolling back up to look at this piece because I can't keep my eyes of it! Seriously. I would buy a whole catalog full of your art work, get huge prints for my walls and shirts printed saying I SUPPORT ANGLER'S ART HELLA
Ok that might be going too far, I just had a huge cup of blonde roast coffee so that mixed with this amazing piece from the gods I am extra jumpy haha.
ANyway, this is so Polar. He always does look bored, but in reality he's having a great time. He likes to keep his thoughts internally, listening to the people passing by and the sound of the breeze outside. Just enjoying life, meanwhile sporting a melancholy facial expression. And the fact you where able to pull that off is just brilliant. I'm really loving his body language here, how his hand is leaned over his shoulder like that. What gorgeous hands, I mean I know I said this before but the way you draw hands is just eye candy for me. Those big nails and the soft yet "construction worker" fingers. I don't know what else to call them haha, but that's something I always like about your art is you can draw this big burly men yet make them have a soft essence to them. It's a perfect mixture. You made Polar look so well fit here and soft, the rolls on his stomach area from him slouching is so cute hehe which reminds me that pouty lip he is sporting is so cute! And yes his big ol' bear nose!! You draw the best noses heh, AND OH GOSH that smoke exhaling from his nostrils, ding dang I love when people draw that!! Ahh it looks so good here, it really does add to the overall tone in this, subtle melancholy but he's ok with just sitting here. He's in no rush, it's good to take things slow. Droooling over that hair due, someone hold me please. Look at that look at it!! Perfectly combed blue greaser pompadour, every strand in it's spot, he's defiantly having a good hair day. Now only if I could get my hair to be that slick without frizzy hair pieces forming at the tips. And I really like how you drew the side parts that are shaved, which some people have a hard time doing because it's like how you do that on a animals head?? But you definitely pulled it off without any sweat. The folds in the pants fall perfectly, has a natural touch to it (the whole piece does so idk what I'm talking about ahah)
But what I can't get over, are those BOOTS!! Look at those perfectly drawn Doc Martens. I can't get them to look the way I want them to in my style, but this!! You pulled it off the first time!! I can't, I can't get over this they are gorgeous. You got all the detail down too, from the yellow stitching at the end of the base from the design of the boot flaps on the sides. And those heels are flawless. I just really adore the way you draw his boots I truly am blown away by this whole piece. I will tressure it for ever along with the other piece you did for me.
Thank you so much! I hope you get way more commissioners because the quality you produce at those prices is just, it's honestly a gift. I am honored to see my character in your style, thank you so much for these amazing pieces.
