I'd been smoking on and off for almost 12 years and I can definitely feel the difference at the gym. An hours worth of cardio is exhausting in the first 20 minutes...

I've heard, from a smoker, that boardgames help. Just about anything that really holds your attention should work. You'll spend so much time focusing on something that you'll not even think about that hourly cig.

Yeah, he's seemed tempted to do that on occasion. I think it was because he was loosing, not because of the lack of nicotine.

Packets of cigarettes in Germany carry the warning "Rauchen gibt man Krebs", which literally translated means "Smoking gives one crabs". Of course, "Krebs" also means "cancer". I just think the other translation is funnier. The English word 'cancer' is derived from the Greek word for 'crab', which is why the astrological sign of Cancer is a crab.

Spoke with a trucker that came out of Canada. The packs of smokes there come in packs of 40, but along with the Surgeon Generals Warning, they come with an actual picture of disease ridden lungs!
Sell more, add gross pic along with it.. make much sense??

Same way in Australia. Their packets have pictures of tar-covered lungs, fetuses affected by smoking in utero, throat cancer, etc. Really makes you want to take up smoking, huh?

And yet, my Australian soul brother smokes. Even he can't explain why.
