After more than a year with fursuiter roommates, I'm finally breaking down and trying to make one of my own!
Hard to make a good-looking lizard head without making it look like a ninja turtle, but I think I'm on the right track. Originally this was gonna be Steinbeck, but it's looking more like a dinosaur at this point. And I need to even out the goofy-looking expression.
And I need to find fur! :o I'd love to finish this before FC.
Lotsa foam, lotsa hot glue, and thread.

do it do it do it. I actually found awesome fur on haight street. on the expensive side but it was NICE STUFF! You just gonna use short pile? I always thought it would be badass to do a lizard/dragon/whatever (that doesnt have fur) fursuit head that had like.. spandex on it or something, but I have no idea how i'd make it work XD.
Yeah, I'm thinking of using some short fur. Spandex could be cool, but I wanna fuzzy suit :P Do you remember the name of the Haight St. place? I found a place on Mission at 17th that's supposed to have a lot of fur (the Fabric Outlet, I think), but they were closed when I stopped by :(
With spandex, it would be cool to stretch it over an under suit that had foam scales or ridges on it, to give it some texture. Maybe, like, glue it down or something. Or maybe even wrap individual foam scales in spandex, then put them together like shingles :D

EVER. Just an undersuit with stuff glued to it. even something strange like those little glass decorator marble things..? The kind of flat ones that people put in fishbowls. SO MANY IDEAS!
The place on Haight is like.. right next to the store with the really expensive cyber-tech raver looking clothing. That's all I remember!! I think there's two of them there, and they're probably both worth checking out.

Yeah, just coat yourself in glue and roll around in stuff! Go to flea markets, get a bunch of fake jewelry, bottle caps, shiny things :P
