Here he is.. a light grey flemish giant buck. If I didn't get another, I'd go crazy. He's 6 months old.. already a lapfull. He's actually a show rabbit. Purebred... pedigreed. Cost me $100 and I was lucky to find him.
He already seems to be adapting well.. got him Sunday and he loves to sleep on the bed when I'm sleeping. He's your typicla flemish, huge bundle of kyoot and loveableness that loves everyone. I haven't anemd him yet but a friend of mine say I should name him 'Hardy' and get a lil bunny as a friend and name that one 'Laurel. :)

Ok that's spooky, he looks just like my light gray flemish doe, Dixie ^^ He's adorable!! My bunny- http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1634994/
Congrats! Flemish are a beautiful breed. Big, soft and a very mellow personality. We've raised quite a few of them over the years and have always been impressed on their nature and size. We've actually had some come close to 20 pounds in weight. Be aware though that if you want to try and breed them the does, we've found, are notoriously hard to breed and you might get one good doe out of every five.
aww, he's adorable! *squees and pets* and he looks so soft and fluffy...like a bunny pillow!
congrats on the new addition. love the ears in this pic. they look like radar ears for some reason. and it could just be me, but he kinda looks like he has this 'oh hello, can i help you?' look on his face. absolutely adorable. good for you DC.

I don't know much about the Ottawa area or how much farming is done there but if there are any livestock auctions there in your general area you might want to check them because you can find them there sometimes. Just be careful and check the ears good to make sure there's no mites or canker because those conditions are nasty to get rid of once and if your animals get them.
Congrats on your new baby bhunneh, DC- It'll certainly help you dwell more on the happy times for your dearly departed friend- I know all too well how a new face, taking care of it and petting it, can help bring back the good memories, and help stave away the bad ones.
