My lioness on lioden Meru.
She hit fifteen today, so this is kinds my good bye image to her,
She was not only a huntress in my pride (As all females have to hunt.) but she was also in charge of teaching the cubs.

I know, I use to see you on there all the time! It's sad that you left, I took a small hiatus for a while. They did change the breed up a bit, now there actually a way to semi predict it. The economy is still terrible though, I sell art on there every once in a while but when I did the match I was doing it for half the price of their 50 cent gb and people were still upset by the price.
I've thought about going back, but I hate how you have to play all day every day to even break even and I'm sure my lions are all starving and it's just so much work it's not fun any more. The art rates are awful too. I never sold art, but I did browse and man you guys had to sell for nothing to even get interest. Is Xylox (is that his name) still an admin? Never cared for him and his ways, which is another partial reason I left.
I completely agree with that, if your lionesses run off you're screwed out of days of work. Then when you do get a great lioness and breed her to amazing king only to get a 400 statted cub when the mum was 700 and the father was close to 3000. Do you mean Xylax? He owns the site, but why did you dislike him?
Yeah, the stat equation needed a lot of tweaking. I had a lot of amazing lionesses run off once and that was basically what decided it for me. I was done. That and they do NOT seem to understand that we need less SB in the game and more sinks for it, which they weren't implementing. That was why the economy was so messed up. I was on a site before where the economy tanked for the same reason and basically killed the site. And yes, Xylax. He's always been weird to me. He seems so much more focused on being silly and loved and adored and friends with everyone that he gives mod power to the wrong people or not enough people and he doesn't focus on listening to what we are saying, especially if it goes against his views. I saw plenty of threads shut down cause they brought up hard issues. And oh my god the worry of triggering someone with a touchy subject got threads closed all the time, and that shouldn't be the case. Plus I heard that someone had a blog going once where they discusses the issues with LD and he forced them to shut it down or something Cause god forbid someone mentions that his precious isn't perfect.
Is the site your talking about have dragons? Specifically tundra dragons? Xylax does seem a little out there, the users go crazy for him. It's almost to the degree that Keith had on subeta, which was crazy fan girls stalking him.
I never see threads with hard issues, besides the ones that sometimes mention the site. They deleted the rant section of the forums. I really wish I had known about all the censoring on tree, the biggest issue that I know about was the February event where people did have a right to say 'Can we get rid of the humping animals and maybe go with the implied version instead?"

Nope, the site I'm talking about was Magistream. Pretty sure it's still up, but last I checked it was pretty empty and dead. I know the site you're talking about. I waited months to finally be able to register, and when I did I was very disappointed. All this hype over nothing really :/ I mean, the dragons were amazing and all that, but the exalting made the currency useless, especially since the sinks weren't that.....needed. I dunno, maybe I'm cynical.
I remember the Rant thread and I'm pretty sure I was still around on there when they deleted it. It was the issue of they can't control a few users so everyone suffers. Whenever anyone would get pissy about the site Xylax is quick to swoop in and defend, which shouldn't be the case. Listen to your customers, ya know? I wasn't around for this year's February event, so I've no clue what you're talking about xD

They are amazing, but the fact that the currency is garbage and like lioden the in game money to real money is really not worth it..
The February event was interesting, but it really did show animals humping. How usual games just imply it lioden had the animals actually doing doggy style on the explore. It didn't show anything but it made a lot of users uncomfortable. A couple of boards went up to remove the art or put a filter up and people went nuts.

Yeah, I've yet to find an online SIM game that is good with their economy and I've tried them all. Magistream, Lioden (which broke my heart cause I loved the concept), Felisfire, Flight Rising Heck, even Neopets. I might one day return to Lioden, but most likely not. Bad taste in my mouth and all that. Yeah, the GB were not a good price for those spending real money on them with plans to sell them for in game currency. The problem with that, though, is finding a good middle ground. Example: on Magistream the real money currency was one USD per shard. The monthly adpots, if you wanted a pair of each, topped out at around 20-30 USD. And then people didn't want to pay in game currency to match the currency demand. Its a hard problem to fix.
Oh wow, I'm surprised the artists of the site thought that was a good idea, especially since there are youngish players there. Not that 16 is young, but still.

Pet sites have been going down. Did you ever try subeta? It wasn't a sim game, but it was close to neo. The site use to be amazing, but it went down hill quickly in the last two years. The only time I see real money working for sites is when they do month to month subscriptions. Increase the amount of hunts, increase the stamina, and increase how many pets you can have. When you start mixing it in with things like breeding it becomes kinda loses currency.
Even as a 23 year old it was awkward, I use my phone to play lioden when I'm at work.
Random animals having sex is a lot harder to explain then just words.

Yeah, most all pet sites don't take into account that they need to have a good economy laid out before anything. I've heard of subeta, but I never tried it. I have heard that it has gone downhill, though. Month to month subscriptions kind of work, so long as they don't promise anything too special cause then that allows for price gouging if you sell said special thing to someone else. Breeding does hurt the special currency, I agree. It's just a mess all around :/
I really wish I had been around to see the fussing that probably ensued. I'm sure it was awkward, though. And I'm really still surprised they did that o.o
