X33 even though they look menacing they're relatively harmless...it's the females with the smaller mandible that you have to watch for. The males only use those to hold the female while they mate. 0w0 *bio nerd*

I witnessed one of these but a female as it has shorter mandibles, having a fight with a pine sawyer beetle x.x it was terrifying

Quite a intimidating look he got, too bad it's just for show...and for getting lucky with a female, hurr hurr hurr. XD Though I would watch out for the females as they would be the ones to bite you. Good thing I'm deathly afraid of bees and not these bugs!

Look at those mandibles! I'm only afraid of dead bugs for some reason. Maybe it's because they're all dry and jagged and crispy *shudder* but live bugs I'm ok with. I like him!
