Meet Limberbutt, the Tabby Cat Who's Running for President

If this presidential candidate wins next year, it will be by a whisker.
His name is Limberbutt McCubbins, a registered federal office-seeker — who happens to be a cat.
"This happened probably back in early May," Emilee McCubbins of Lousiville, Kentucky told ABC News. "My friend Issac messaged on Facebook asking for my address. After a half an hour later, I got an email from the FEC that Limberbutt McCubbins had been officially registered in the presidential race."
McCubbins, 17, said the steps to register Limberbutt as a candidate only took her friend a short time to complete.
"Personally, I think if you're going to become a leader of the free world you should have to do a bit more of an extensive application process," she said. "You don't even have to put in a social security number, which is a bit worrisome, but you do have to file some papers for tax records and campaign donations. You have to raise $5,000 to get on the ballot."
Being that Limberbutt is a feline, McCubbins said there's no need to beef up his campaign, adding that she's aware her gray tabby may not have much of a shot going far in the race.
"It's just a fun thing to pass the time," McCubbins said. "It's the summer and there's no homework, so we enter our cats in the presidential race."
The Federal Election Commission released the following statement to ABC News.
"FEC regulations speak only about individuals in connection with the registration of federal candidates. An individual becomes a candidate for federal office and triggers registration and reporting obligations under federal law when his or her campaign exceeds $5,000 in either contributions or expenditures. Within 15 days, the individual is required to file a Statement of Candidacy (FEC Form 2) with the FEC. Ballot access does not fall under the jurisdiction of the FEC; rather, the states have their own set of requirements.
"The FEC Press Office wishes our feline friend the best of luck and many more lives to come! Meow!"
At last! A presidential candidate we ALL can agree on!

There were plans for a Super NES/Sega Genesis game called "Socks the Cat Rocks the Hill" where you played as Bill Clinton's cat and had to stop a foreign power from nuking the US. I seem to believe the end of level bosses were caricatures of Republicans.

But it was never released in the end.
There's a gameplay video here:

Unfortunately there is no ROM (for use with emulators and stuff) because the only known copy belongs to a video game collector, who won't dump the ROM because he doesn't want other people playing a game that cost him a good load of money for free. (And because he is a video game collector, which naturally makes him twice the asshole douchebag)
EDIT: The YT tags don't work on FA comments. Sorry, you're gonna have to bear with the fucknuggetry in, at least, the description (since you're probably not dumb enough to look at the comments).
