It had been several days since he had stolen some of the goods out of the mask salesman’s pack. Most of his wares were dull and tawdry things by the changeling’s standards, the voices in the masks were trivial and trite save for one. A purple mask in a vague heart shape called to him, it was a few days before he tried it on however as other playthings caught his limited attention. The child within the mask’s inner world seemed so lonely, so sad, and they had so much in common. They ran around the field inside of the mask without a care in the world like reuniting friends. Unfortunately the real world outside of the mask shared a much different fate. Dark times befell termina as whole cities were razed to ash by the fury of an unknown being wearing majora’s mask. In the end the four giants had to be summoned in order to hurl the mad changling from whence it came. When it was over termina was in smoldering ruins and thousands lay dead, the giants sundered majoras mask into four pieces and took a hundred steps in each direction intent on slumbering and purifying the mask of the madness left by the otherworldly child.
