Mages already don't need a reason to capture you and use you for experiments, so you better be extra careful not to give them one, or you might be in for a hell of a long and uncomfortable stay in their homes.
Joey seemed to have tactlessly gotten himself into a predicament. Maybe he said something wrong about which spell belongs to which school of magic? (Mages are pretty sensitive about that kind of stuff.) Or maybe his huge paws made him a much sought after prize for a group of particularly kinky mages who love capturing rare specimens like this maned macropod. Either scenario sounds likely to me, and either scenario sound like the mages who captured Joey aren't planning on letting the poor roo go anytime soon. What's also troubling to me is that I don't see a way for the stocks to open so maybe they won't let Joey go at all. O.o
The muzzle was also put on him, so that his loud guffaws and pleas to be let go were turned into muffled grunts and giggles. That way, the mages won't have too many noise problems with their new pet, so they can just relax and watch TV, while the enchanted feathers torture the roo's paws. So far, they haven't allowed Joey a single break in the first hours he's been captured, but hopefully he'll be let out at some intervals to drink and eat and pee, and maybe breathing too would be nice. They really seem to enjoy seeing the squirming roo cry with laughter and blush so heavily though. Joey just can't help it. It totally doesn't mean he enjoys it though, noooo, not at all. o////o
