LUMIBII
Closed Species
Though the art I sell of them can be chibis, Lumibii are full sized creatures.
Height:
Ranging from 4'10" to 6'3" (not including tail length)
Weight:
Ranges from 160 lbs to 270 lbs. (Moderate builds to chubby.)
Tail Length:
3'6" to 5' (from base to tip)
Genders:
While drawn as genderless, Lumibii can be male, female, herm, or genderless. The gender they become is up to the choice of the buyer.
Lifespan:
Lumibii tend to live up to the age of 150, with a handful reaching 200. Their are of mating age once they reach their early twenties and have long fertile periods, usually lasting 40-50 years.
Specifics of the race:
-Living Eye on tail end. Always present and glows like eyes on face. It allows the Lumibii to see from behind and in all directions. When the Lumibii sleeps, the tail curls up into a coil with the eye in the center of the coil, closed, though periodically opening to look around and then close once more, on constant look out for predators.
-All Lumibii are born with dragonfly styled wings. At birth, the wings are a transparent dark grey that changes to the colors of their coat and glow as they reach 5 years of age. The wings are large enough to allow for flight (length across from wing tip to wing tip matching the length of their tail). Usually they flap rapidly, much like a dragonfly or hummingbird, but when they are going fast enough their wings will also allow then to glide through the air.
-They are omnivores, though tend to eat more vegetation then meat. And when they do eat meat, they go for smaller creatures then big game. Only time Lumibii hunt and eat big game is when they work together in a pack.
-They can live in any environment, the color of their glow tending to match up with where they live, though not always the case.
-Lumibii tend to only have one set color to their glow (while the glow can have two shades in it, it is still considered one color, like "green"). It is rarer for them to have 2+ colors present in their glow. The more colors present in their glow, the rarer they are.
-In extremely rare instances are Lumibii born that cannot glow at all. In these cases, their glowing bits are dark, rich colors to black and their coats, which are usually dark and muted, are now vibrant, bright/neon in color.
-When they sleep, the glow dims and begins to flicker, similar to that of a firefly, but it never completely turns off.
-For defense/offense, the Lumibii have the living eye to watch out, wings for flight, horns on their head to stop/block blows or to attack with, armored bellies, and sharp paw claws.
-Lumibii can have hair, from short to long. It really is up the choice of the buyer what style they would like.
-They are nocturnal creatures, hunting and socializing at night. The rare Lumibii that have no Glow have more difficulty doing so, so they tend to think up creative solutions to allow themselves to see in the darkness and attract their prey that is drawn in by their luminescent glow. Otherwise they force themselves to become day timers, tending to appear sluggish/groggy as it is against their nature (though some do adapt and act normally), but because of this, they tend to distance themselves from other Lumibii as they are no longer active at the times of others to socialize.
Quick Reference to rarity:
Common are 1 colors glows (can have 2 colors of same tone just different shades and be considered 1.)
Uncommon have 2-3 colors in the glow.
Rare have 4-5.
Ultra Rare have 6+
Epics have no glow at all with neon colored based coats (or bright white), no muted tones except the parts that were suppose to glow.
-More info on Lumibii may be added over time. So please make sure to keep tabs.-
