Endless Realms bestiary - Alan
Bestiary artwork for Endless Realms, a D&D-like "pen and paper" fantasy RPG I'm working for.
Alan are disfigured humans grown from miscarried fetuses and other "waste", and hail from mythology of the Philippines - despite their rough origin, the Alan are said to dwell in homes of gold. Their appearance is twisted, with feathered arms and backwards legs, and are known to sometimes help, sometimes hinder those they encounter.

*chuckles* It's a bit ambiguous, isn't it? I imagined it as a tail, like the stub tails birds tend to have beneath their feathers. However, it very well could be part of their genitalia - I don't know how closely to the classic mythology the team wants to stick for these guys, but according to what I looked up, they generally "grow" into a kind of mutant form from discarded human reproductive waste that they take in, so I could see them not actually having functional genitalia and instead having something a bit unusual and misshapen there instead? Sort of like appendices in human.
