So there was this jewelry maker in the dealers den at AC selling REALLY nice charms and pendants and I just had to snag this one for my collar.
It's actually a symbol from Egyptian myth...the Feather of Truth. The goddess Maat would weigh a newly departed soul's heart against the feather. If a person was good and their heart was lighter than the feather, they would be allowed to be reincarnated. If not, however, their heart was devoured and their soul would be damned eternally.
Symbolism aside it's a pretty badass piece of jewelry and I couldn't help showing it off. It's made of Antique Brass (90% copper, 10% tin), and the jewel is Snowflake Obsidian.
