Working on colouring pencil sketches decently. I did this at work today, then coloured it with SAI. I had this idea lately, to draw the many Italian dog races, because really, I can't see any around.

Starting with Volpino Italiano.
Small primitive spitz dog, very rare and unrepresented even here. Courageous, extremely smart, comes in two colours, white and red, that was basically extinct and is being breed again thanks to a few very dedicated breeders.

It was the "sentinel" dog, used to guard properties teamed with a molosser (usually a cane corso or similar). The volpino alarmed the big dog, and the molosser took care of the intruder. Has a strong hunting instinct and was used as a gun-dog too.
