"Photo-Op: Tate's Not At Comic Con" #2 (taken by Glenn)
Continuing this special 'photo-op' presentation - a series of three smartphone pictures taken by my brother Glenn - here is the second pic from Tate's Comics in Lauderhill, Florida, during the sixth annual edition of "Tate's Not At Comic Con" (coinciding with that other big Comic Con in San Diego, California).
Glenn managed to capture a (slightly out-of-focus) picture of an alien statue - with a giant eye resting upon eight legs. (It reminded us both of that same creature we used to see on "Jonny Quest", back in the 1960s.) Of course, whether the clarity was good or not, it just didn't do justice to the fact that Tate's Comics had expanded twice in 2015: once again in its own comic book emporium, and for the first time in its separate gaming store (located two shops north in the same strip mall that it's located in).
Of course, the annual sale drew a plethora of people (including fan boys and girls, cosplayers, and numerous fans of "Star Trek", "Star Wars", comic super heroes, and anime characters - all too numerous to mention). Probably one of the customers bumped into Glenn (hence, the out-of-focus image)...
If any of you are ever in south Florida (Broward County, to be more specific), Visit Tate's Comics at 4566 North University Drive, Lauderhill, FL 33351. If you cannot make it there, at least visit their website at https://www.tatescomics.com
