Design Comish - Hylda

Realistic Shaded Design-A-Character Commission for
Gadamlu of Hylda, the warrior dragoness!
Hylda here is pretty rad-looking - and it's always fun to work on a dragon wearing camo! (I wonder why that would be, lol.) Her design is simple, but is really sharp - I particularly like how her gunmetal-grey scales contrasts with the tan and green of her camo. I also wanted to show a bit of attitude with her pose, leaning back slightly with a 'no nonsense' sort of expression, haha.

Thanks, Gadamlu! Hope ya like!

The germans designed it so the bayonet mounts on the top of the barrel, as opposed to the underside :o

Ah, now that I see that the reference was from a G3 it makes more sense, as in this pic it has more the look of an older bolt-action such as the Mauser K98 (lack of pistol grip, overall length). I still think it a bit odd in the design on the actual gun (not the one drawn here in this pic) that the iron sights are positioned so high above the barrel, enough that you might think it would affect the accuracy at longer range, even if only slightly.
Actually, I think I should amend my last statement; I now see what would be the very end of the pistol grip just poking out from behind the character's head, but the placement is far forward of the trigger and trigger guard.
Both Gadamlu and Twily, just feel free to ignore my rambling. I've been collecting firearms and doing gunsmith work for two and a half decades and sometimes have a annoying tendency to get overly nit-picky when it comes to accuracy on firearms.

Good eye! Yes there was a little mix up with the pistol grip, but twilight went and fixed it! So it's all good:P. And really, it's not all that much higher of a sight as opposed to other common arms like the AR and AK platforms. Since the Stg-44 Germany seems to have been rather fond of the higher sight profile as well. For military arms, such a small discrepancy in accuracy is also overlooked as good enough. Such precision isn't quite needed in standard issue arms :P
