I wish my mom cared about me.
I have so much going on for me right now.
I'm upset and depressed.
I'm also pretty hella lonely.
And when I look to her for comfort.
She doesn't care.
All anything is about to her is money.
"When are you getting your paycheck?"
"Can you help me buy this?"
"Are you gonna pay me ___ money?"
Why can't you care about me..
Why can't you be my mom again..
I miss you Mom..
I'm sorry you and dad divorced..
I am sorry it had to be on my 18th birthday..
I blame myself all the time.
Thinking it's my fault you two broke apart.

Family aren't who you are related to, they are those who stay by your side through thick and thin whether they're friends, counselors, teachers, even a favorite pet. They're who you learn from, depend on, and talk to when you need them. I don't know if the story in the poem is analogous to real life for you but I understand it non-the-less. I hope you feel better.
